Fire Department |

 There are 45 members in the Colfax Volunteer Fire
Department. Specialty qualifications include certified Emergency
Medical Tech-Defibrillator; First Responders; and certified Emergency
Medical Tech-Intermediate (EMT-I). All primary personnel carry
pagers to have crews available at all times. Ambulance and fire
calls are responded to immediately 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Colfax is an ISO Fire Class 7 rated town, the highest
ranking possible for a volunteer fire department.
Colfax is governed by a mayor and five council members.
The City provides water and sewer services; privately contracted weekly
garbage pick-up is available.
